Located in the 1929 tower addition, the Citadel Club was originally occupied by a private men's club, whose all-male membership devoted long hours to politics, the arts and various other topics of the day. The exclusion of women from the club was one of the primary factors in the club's demise.

Now a popular spot for both business conferences and wedding receptions, the free-flowing rooms of the Citadel still have the feel of an exclusive, "old" Texas club.
