The Driskill Bar & Grill has reopened to welcome guests with a new look, while preserving the classic core elements that hold true to the legendary Driskill Hotel!

Having served as one of Austin Texas’ most prestigious dining and drinking establishments for decades, The Driskill Grill has been named Austin’s Top all-around restaurant by Zagat three-consecutive years and most recently was awarded a Top 25 Hotel restaurant in the US – while The Driskill Bar remains a perennial must-see gathering place. The Driskill Bar & Grill historically opened their doors to host politicians, celebrities and has been transformed into movie sets. Most notably, in 1934, Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson had their first date over breakfast in The Driskill Grill, Johnson proposed later that day. Scenes from Miss Congeniality, starring Austin’s sweetheart, Sandra Bullock were filmed in The Driskill Grill.  And, no stranger to famous musicians, in September of 1931, jazz legend Louis Armstrong made his Texas debut at The Driskill Bar.
