AUSTIN, TX (November 2, 2012) – Celebrate Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 22, 2012) in a truly festive setting with The Driskill, Austin’s landmark destination for the holidays. Offering a myriad of options to suit any plans to show gratitude; from an overnight stay with family brunch, to an intimate dinner for two, the team at The Driskill can provide an experience to remember.

Dining options include reservations at the award-winning Driskill Grill for a multi-course inventive dinner menu in a distinctive setting; 1886 Café & Bakery for a beautifully presented classic all-day Thanksgiving three-course menu; the well-loved Thanksgiving Family Feast as hosted in the Driskill Mezzanine, or a prepared multi-course menu available for pick-up.

Overnight stays make Thanksgiving a no-stress experience, with the Thanksgiving Recovery package. Including overnight accommodations, a complimentary in-room movie, and a Recovery Turndown (including Ginger Ale, Tums, Cooling Gel Eye Mask, and a turkey & cranberry sandwich served via room service for breakfast), rates start from $529.

Thanksgiving Five-Course (The Driskill Grill) – Offering a five-course menu as prepared by the award-winning Driskill Grill culinary team, presented in one of Austin’s most beloved dining institutions. Standout items from the prix fixe menu include a Gingerbread & Pecan-Crusted Pork Belly with Bacon & Cornbread Purée; Toasted Pecan & Sweet Potato Ravioli; Espresso & Lavender-Roasted Aged Prime Tenderloin, with ‘Con Olio’ Whipped Potatoes, Shaved Brussels Sprouts in a Cherry & Foie Gras Bordelaise. $85 per adult, $35 per child (under 12)– Reservations will be taken starting at 1:00p, with final reservations at 6:30p, call 512.391.7039 for reservations.

A Classic Thanksgiving (1886 Café & Bakery) – Set in the open, bistro-styled 1886 Café & Bakery, a three-course menu focused on the classics, beautifully prepared. The menu includes: Smoked Butternut Squash Soup with Spiced Crème Fraîche & Pumpkin Seed Oil; Hickory-Smoked Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy, Cranberry Compote & Sourdough Sage Stuffing; Maple-Cured Pork Loin with Pecan Bourbon Sauce, Candied Sweet Potato and Braised Rainbow Swiss Chard; Pumpkin Pie with Spiced Whipped Cream. The menu is available with reservations starting at 11:30a until closing, at 10:00p. $25 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

A Thanksgiving Family Feast (Driskill Mezzanine) – Served on the Mezzanine, beautifully outfitted with fall décor from 10a – 3p, guests are greeted with hot cider and pumpkin-spiced coffee, with mini milkshakes for the little ones. The menu includes a full buffet of Thanksgiving classics, brunch specialties, Prime Rib & Seafood stations, an incredible dessert selection, and unlimited Champagne (21+ only). A family photographer will be taking portraits, which guests may purchase separately, and balloon artists and face painting are at the ready to entertain the younger set. Adults, $65, Children 6-12, $32.50, and Children under 5 are complimentary. Gratuity is included, price excludes tax.

The Make-a-Dish Foundation (Prepared for Take-Out, by Request) – For those with a holiday celebration at home, The Driskill offers a bit of assistance, in order to make the day run smoothly, with minimal preparation. A full menu is available for $35 per person, including: Fruit Salad; Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with Pecorino, Pumpkin Seeds & Arugula; Crab Bisque; Garlic Mashed Potatoes; Traditional Sourdough Stuffing; Green Bean Casserole with Bacon; Brined & Slow-Roasted Turkey with Apple Cider Gravy; Candied Yams with Marshmallow; Pumpkin Pie. Pick-up is available for cold, prepared items (to be heated next day) on Wednesday, November 21, from 11:00a – 6:00p. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, the full menu can be picked up heated, from 11:00a – 2:00p.
