Driskill Grill Features Prix Fixe Summer Menu

AUSTIN, TX-July 11, 2008-The Driskill Grill presents a new prix fixe, three-course menu for summer that continues until Labor Day. The menu-consisting of a salad, beef or fish entrée, and dessert course-is available nightly at $55 per person.

Executive Chef Jonathan Gelman has prepared the summer sampler as a prelude to an all-new menu for the award-winning restaurant. The three courses include: Texas Chop Salad with Maytag blue cheese, smoked bacon, avocado and crisp plantains; Butter Roasted Prime Filet served with trumpet mushrooms, pommes puree and cipollini onions or Crispy Red Snapper with almond caper vinaigrette, baby carrots and vanilla parsnip puree; and Chef's Parade of desserts from Pastry Chef Tony Sansalone. Diners enjoy a decadent trio of Hazelnut Crunch Bar, Chocolate Terrine and Malted Milkshake.

In addition, guests can also order from the Chef's Five-Course Tasting Menu ($85 per person or $135 per person with wine pairings) or from the full menu, which now features almost entirely Chef Gelman's culinary creations.

The Driskill Grill opens for dinner, Tuesday through Thursday from 6 until 9:30 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 6 until 10 pm.
